Acne scars are usually melanin deposits.It can be solved by skin self-renewal, sunscreen whitening or makeup.However, for acne pits, the use of ordinary scar removal creams is rarely effective, and it is basically solved by medical cosmetic methods.Today we will talk about the artifact to treat it – fractional laser.
Why do pimples appear on the face?
Acne pits are actually called acne pits. The occurrence of acne pits is mostly due to severe inflammation. If extrusion or treatment is not timely, the entire skin tissue is destroyed (the dermis is damaged), resulting in tissue defects.
After the epidermis heals, it cannot regenerate and form collagen to repair the skin lesions, leaving a sunken scar that cannot disappear on its own, which visually looks like a skin sunken. Chickenpox, smallpox, surgery, or some trauma can cause similar pitted scars.
In addition to damage to the epidermis and dermis, tissue adhesions under the skin can also pull the skin down, causing more pronounced depressions. So, in the face of sunken scars, all we need to do is to break off the old scars and grow new collagen.
Pit Filling Artifact – Fractional Laser
Fractional lasers are not lasers, but a way of working with lasers. As long as the diameter of the laser beam (spot) is less than 500 μm, and the laser beam is regularly arranged in a lattice, the laser working mode at this time is a lattice laser. The ultra-pulse ablation CO2 fractional laser can instantly heat the water in the tissue to above 100 °C. When it acts on the skin, it vaporizes the epidermis and dermis (scar) of different depths, causing the skin to produce vaporization pits. Due to its large peak energy, small thermally-induced lateral injury area, accurate vaporization of tissue, and less damage to surrounding tissues, laser wounds can heal in 3 to 5 days, and are not likely to cause complications such as hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation. Under the laser mode, the adverse reactions (scar, erythema, long recovery time, etc.) and curative effects are not obvious, showing a good therapeutic effect.
Fractional lasers are generally divided into two categories: non-ablative fractional lasers and ablative fractional lasers
Common stripping lattice lasers include 2940nm erbium laser, 10600nm CO₂ laser, etc., which instantly generate high temperature and vaporize the irradiated part, which is equivalent to completely dismantling and rebuilding. It can be said that it is a strong medicine, and the therapeutic effect is stronger. , for moderate to severe acne pits.
Non-ablative fractional lasers include Fraxel fractional lasers, 1565nm lasers, etc., which have little damage to the epidermis, do not peel or scab, and the effect will be weak.
What fractional laser is the most reliable way to see a doctor! But be sure to choose a reliable and qualified hospital and doctor.
Why Fractional Laser Can Treat Acne Pimples?
The principle of fractional laser treatment for acne is that the fractional laser divides one laser beam into multiple laser beams. In the epidermis, a heated area consisting of laser-action lattices and spaces is formed. Each laser spot consists of one or several high-energy laser pulses. Can penetrate directly into the dermis.
When the laser energy reaches a certain level, it is converted into heat energy. Thermal stimulation causes immediate shrinkage and denaturation of collagen in the dermis. And become a matrix for the synthesis of new collagen, which eventually creates new skin tissue to replace the skin of acne pits. This is the principle of fractional laser acne removal.

Preoperative and postoperative precautions
Only basic care advice is provided here, and of course follow your doctor’s advice.
Preoperative care
1.Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks before surgery, and apply sunscreen to prevent it;
2.Avoid taking aspirin or aspirin-like drugs for 1 week before surgery, unless prescribed by a doctor. Try to avoid alcohol, fish oil supplements, and vitamin E;
3.One week before surgery, please stop using skin care products containing retinoids (such as retinoids, Daphne (adapalene, propylene glycol and EDTA gel), or skin care products containing fruit acids, and you can resume use 2 weeks after surgery .
Postoperative care
1.Do not touch the surgical site immediately after treatment to prevent bacterial infection;
2.It is normal for the treatment area to have redness and a slight burning sensation. Local ice can be applied to reduce swelling and pain;
3.Redness, swelling and burning sensation within 24-48 hours after treatment are normal reactions. You can moisten the area with a cold towel. If you have very severe pain or other discomfort, you should contact your doctor immediately;
4.After treatment, the medicine is usually changed every 2 days. Do not touch the treatment area with water within 14 days, and change the medicine according to the doctor’s advice;
5.It is not advisable to wash your face with hot water within 5 days after facial treatment. Avoid using makeup for two weeks. Saunas are prohibited. Reduce facial expressions. Avoid vigorous massage and exercise that sweats on the treated area;
6.About the third day after the treatment, tiny granules of scabs begin to form on the local wound surface, and the scabs will fall off in about 7-10 days. When there is slight drying, scaling or scabbing, do not pick and remove the scab by yourself, and make sure that the scab matures and falls off on its own;
7.Pigmentation occurs in some patients (dark skin is prone to pigmentation), which usually subsides in 3-6 months, and drug treatment will accelerate the subsidence of pigmentation;
8.Avoid strong sun exposure within 3 months after treatment (use a physical sunscreen with SPF ≥ 30-50 and apply it 30 minutes before going out);
9.Do not eat spicy, irritating, seafood, mutton and other foods within 14 days after treatment (anti-skin allergy). Minimize foods or beverages with high food coloring content (candy, preserved fruit, fruit juice, black beans, black sesame, etc.) and light-sensitive foods (lemon, white radish, celery, lettuce, rape, eggplant, seaweed, spinach, red bean, mango ). You can eat more sunscreen foods, such as tomatoes, cabbage, strawberries and so on.
Finally, sensitive skin is reminded to be careful when using the fractional laser method. It is best to communicate with your doctor before surgery so that the doctor can choose the most suitable treatment for you. There is also the need to have the correct psychological expectations after surgery, not to achieve a flawless microdermabrasion effect at one time.
